However, reports from the Mirror indicate that Ratcliffe has intervened, putting an end to these aspirations despite Lewandowski’s impending Bosman status.

Ratcliffe is keen to avoid past missteps, evident in deals involving Cristiano Ronaldo and Bastian Schweinsteiger, and has clearly instructed the management to reconsider pursuing Lewandowski.
