Steven Gerrard, aged 45, is currently available after departing from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq in February. Reports from The Guardian suggest that his return to Ibrox may be a possibility, marking a notable comeback for the former player and manager who left Rangers four years ago to take charge at Aston Villa.

During his tenure with the Gers, Gerrard ended Celtic’s dominance in the Premiership by leading the team to their first league title in a decade during the 2020/21 season.
