Raheem Sterlings Home Targeted by Burglars While Family is Inside

Raheem Sterling playing for Chelsea

Incident Overview

Burglars targeted the residence of England footballer Raheem Sterling while he and his family were inside on Saturday. Fortunately, they were unharmed during the break-in, which occurred shortly before Sterling’s club, Chelsea, faced Wolves in a Premier League match.

Details of the Incident

Sterling, who has yet to play for Chelsea this season, was at his home in Berkshire with his partner, Paige Milian, and their children, having been excluded from the game lineup. A spokesperson for Sterling emphasized,

While this represents a severe breach of safety and privacy, we are relieved to report that he and his family are safe.

Police Investigation

A representative from Thames Valley Police stated,

We are looking into a burglary that happened around 6:30 PM on Saturday.

They urged anyone with information or who may have seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity to reach out to law enforcement.

Background Context

This marks at least the third incident where Sterling has been targeted by burglars. Notably, he departed England’s camp during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after his family home was burglarized just before the quarter-final match against France. A group of three burglars who had previously targeted affluent individuals, including Sterling, received prison sentences in 2020 for a series of residential break-ins.

Sterling transferred to Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 and spent the last season on loan with Arsenal. He was unable to finalize a move away from Stamford Bridge during the summer and has been training separately from the first-team squad.
