Porto’s club president, Andre Villas-Boas, has expressed his satisfaction with the development of player Samu Aghehow.

The forward joined Porto last year after a transfer from Atletico Madrid.

Positive Developments for Samu Aghehow

Villas-Boas stated, “Samu has an impressive future ahead, and we are committed to nurturing his talent.” He continued, “He is an exceptional player, and despite his youth, Samu stands out as one of the top scorers globally.”

He further elaborated in an interview with AS: “We initiated this project for Samu while he was still with Atlético. Initially, the arrangement was split evenly. However, we have successfully acquired full ownership of his sporting rights.”

“Our intention is to support his growth and help him realize his potential. Moving to Porto was an ideal progression for him; the club fosters a family-like atmosphere, and he has truly settled in. We’ve had inquiries from multiple clubs interested in securing him.”

Additionally, Villas-Boas talked about Porto’s acquisition of Gabri Veiga from Al-Ahly, a former standout at Celta Vigo.

“It was an excellent addition for us,” he remarked. “Under typical circumstances, Gabri Veiga would not have joined Porto. He is among the finest talents of his generation in European football.”

He highlighted Veiga’s choice to move to Saudi Arabia at a young age, which resulted in a significant impact, as characterized by the championships he won and the goals and assists he contributed.
