According to family sources, Peter Lamptey, who represented both Accra Great Olympics and Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Kaneshie Poly Clinic.
His Football Career
During his career with these prominent Ghanaian clubs, Lamptey established a formidable attacking partnership with football legends such as Mohammed Polo, Anas Seidu, Mama Acquah, and Robert Hammond. In addition to his club success, he wore the national team jersey at various international competitions, including the 1972 Munich Olympic Games.
