Manuel Pellegrini, who has previously coached Real Madrid, expressed confusion over the choice to let Xabi go.

He remarked, “It’s not fair to evaluate a project within merely four months.”

Pellegrini emphasized the importance of timing in coaching. He stated, “I lack complete insight into the reasons behind this decision. Every undertaking requires time, and as a coach, one must depend on the management’s understanding of how long a project will take to develop.”
