In an interview with El Dia, Pedro mentioned interest from Tenerife, stating, “There has been interest, and I am truly grateful to the club for considering me. This means a lot to me, and we will see if something materializes, although it is a challenging situation.”

He continued, “At this moment, I don’t want to eliminate any options. The first priority for me is to bid farewell to Lazio, a remarkable club that has treated me exceptionally well. After my time here concludes, I will evaluate any enticing offers, or perhaps consider retirement.”

Reflections on Retirement

Pedro candidly expressed the reality of approaching retirement, stating, “Clearly, retirement is becoming a reality. It will be difficult, as football has been my life’s work. I have a deep passion for the sport, the thrill of competition, and being involved in athletics. Facing the end is challenging, but it is something that is creeping closer, and I must accept that.”

He added, “The seasons have grown increasingly demanding and lengthy. In recent times, I have taken on less of a leading role, but I have experienced each season with intensity, always aiming to contribute positively.”
