Interest Grows for Gent’s Hyllarion Goore
Clubs Eyeing the Young Forward
Reports have emerged through Sacha Tavolieri highlighting that Gent’s forward, Hyllarion Goore, is being monitored by Paris FC and Bundesliga club Freiburg. Among these, Freiburg seems to be taking a more serious approach as they consider recruiting the promising talent. Nevertheless, to pursue Goore, Freiburg would need to meet Gent’s conditions, which stipulate a transfer fee ranging from €7 million to €10 million, with additional bonuses factored into the total cost.
Goore’s Emerging Career
At just 20 years old, Ivorian striker Goore transferred to Gent in 2025 from the Armenian team Ararat. He joined Gent midway through the previous season and participated in 15 matches without finding the back of the net. This season, he has seen more playtime, often teaming up with striker Wilfried Kanga. In 23 appearances so far, Goore has successfully netted five goals and provided three assists. Following the January departure of Omri Gandelman to Lecce, Goore has become Gent’s second-highest scorer in the league, trailing Kanga by just one goal.
Transfer Complications for Gent
Despite the interest in Goore, Gent has already allowed Gandelman to transfer and loaned out Dante Vanzeir to Cercle Brugge. Consequently, the club is likely to demand a substantial fee for Goore’s transfer, as they would need to find a suitable replacement before the closing of the transfer window.
