Palaces Guehi Reflects on Frustration Over Missed Liverpool Transfer
Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi Unfazed by Missed Liverpool Move
No Regrets for the Palace Captain
Crystal Palace’s skipper, Marc Guehi, has expressed that he holds no regrets over not securing a transfer to Liverpool on the final day of the transfer window this season.
Transfer Blocked at the Last Minute
The club reportedly agreed to a £35 million offer from Liverpool and had even permitted Guehi to undergo a medical examination. However, the transfer was halted by Crystal Palace just hours before the deadline due to their inability to find a suitable replacement for the defender.
Focused on the Present
When asked about his feelings regarding the aborted move, Guehi shared his thoughts in an interview with Sky Sports: “There seems to be a common belief that it was a tough situation, but in reality, it wasn’t challenging at all.”
He elaborated, “By concentrating on what truly matters, it becomes manageable. I trust that there’s a plan for me, and whatever that may be will eventually come to pass. My primary goal has always been to play football to the best of my abilities, and fortunately, I get to do that alongside teammates like Max (Lacroix).”
