Ogunbote Tipped to Take Over as Kwara United Technical Adviser

Veteran coach Gbenga Ogunbote looks set for a swift return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as Kwara United move to appoint him as their new technical adviser.

Club insiders reveal that Ogunbote tops the shortlist to replace former coach Tunde Sanni, whom the club fired on Sunday after a 1–0 home defeat to Abia Warriors.

Ogunbote, respected for his tactical discipline and experience, left Shooting Stars before the current season began.

His résumé features spells with Enyimba, Rangers International, and other NPFL sides.

Sources say Kwara United see Ogunbote as the ideal man to steady the team after a shaky start to the campaign.

However, the club is also considering Flying Eagles coach Aliyu Zubairu as a possible alternative.

Talks should intensify this week as the Harmony Boys look to make a quick appointment ahead of their next NPFL fixture.
