Chelle Names Nigeria Squad for Crucial World Cup Play-offs

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has unveiled Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup play-offs against Gabon and DR Congo, featuring a potent mix of experience and youth.

In goal, Stanley Nwabali, Amas Obasogie, and Maduka Okoye will battle for the No. 1 spot.

Captain William Troost-Ekong anchors the defence, joined by Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Semi Ajayi, Chidozie Awaziem, Zaidu Sanusi, and Benjamin Fredricks.
