Nicolas Jackson Poised for Comeback at Chelsea
Nicolas Jackson’s Future at Chelsea Uncertain After Bayern Loan
Return to Chelsea Likely
Nicolas Jackson is expected to head back to Chelsea following the conclusion of his loan spell at Bayern Munich, as the mandatory purchase clause now appears unattainable.
Loan Details
Jackson, 24, secured a loan move to the Bayern squad with an initial payment of £14.2 million at the close of the summer transfer window.
Bayern Munich’s president, Uli Hoeness, stated that the agreement included a requirement for Bayern to buy Jackson for £56.2 million, contingent upon him playing 40 matches in the Bundesliga and Champions League combined.
Performance Factors
However, Jackson has only made six starts in these two competitions so far. With a maximum of 33 additional games remaining, it is clear that Bayern will not fulfill the obligation to purchase the player.
Throughout his 14 appearances across all tournaments, Jackson has managed to net four goals and provide one assist.
Agent’s Stance
Consequently, Jackson seems poised to rejoin Chelsea once the season wraps up. Yet, his representative, Diomansy Kamara, is not enthusiastic about this return.
When questioned about the possibility of Jackson returning to West London, Kamara responded to Canal+ Sport: “Absolutely not. Absolutely not.”
He continued, “Currently, the relationship with Enzo Maresca at Chelsea isn’t particularly strong. We won’t disparage those who have supported us, as Chelsea enabled him to reach the European stage.”
“He spent two years there, scoring 30 goals and maintaining a decent rapport. However, it’s true that red cards complicated his time at Chelsea. Our focus is on ensuring Bayern has a successful season. We will consider what’s best for him, but Bayern has been a priority for some time.”
