The upcoming Africa Cup of Nations is set for 2027, hosted in East Africa.
Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda will jointly host the event, marking the first occasion three nations collaborate as hosts.
This tournament will also be notable for being the first in the region since it was last held in Ethiopia in 1976.
As of now, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has yet to announce the specific dates for the tournament.
This event will commemorate its 70th anniversary since the inaugural competition took place in 1957 and will be the last hosted in an odd-numbered year.
Beginning in 2028, the Africa Cup of Nations will transition to a quadrennial schedule, aligning with the European Championships.
The hosts for the 2028 edition have not yet been determined.
From 2029 onward, an annual Africa Nations League is planned to be held in September, October, and November each year.
