Napoli Set to Acquire Third Manchester United Departure While Targeting Mainoo in January Transfer Window

Napoli Interested in Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo
Interest from Multiple Clubs
Napoli is monitoring the situation of Kobbie Mainoo, who has found himself sidelined under Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim. The young England international has not been utilized much this season and is attracting attention from several clubs, including Aston Villa, Newcastle, as well as Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Potential Loan Move on the Horizon
According to reports from Sky Sports Switzerland, Napoli is in discussions with Mainoo’s representatives and may pursue a loan option when the transfer window reopens in January. The Italian club aims to provide an opportunity for Mainoo to “continue his development in a competitive setting,” with hopes of securing more playing time in a team that is currently in pursuit of the league title under manager Antonio Conte.
Current Playing Time Concerns
So far this season, Mainoo has registered merely 200 minutes of playtime across all competitions, appearing in four Premier League matches, all as a substitute. If his situation does not improve, it is reported that he may request a transfer, and a move to Napoli could prove to be an ideal solution for his future ambitions. Notably, Napoli has already secured Rasmus Hojlund on loan from Manchester United and has former Red Devils midfielder Scott McTominay, who celebrated a league title victory with the team last season.
