The MTN Elite U-19 Championship commenced with thrilling matches on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. Both the Eastern Region and Greater Accra Region have emerged as early frontrunners in their respective groups following an exhilarating opening day.

Group A Results and Standings

In the first group, Eastern Region claimed the top position after a commanding 5–2 win against the Upper West Region. This impressive performance not only earned them three points but also established their status as early favorites in the competition. The Northern Region follows in second place after narrowly defeating the Western Region with a score of 1–0 in a fiercely contested match.

    4. Upper West Region – 0 points

Western Region and Upper West have yet to register any points. Meanwhile, the Brong Ahafo Region is set to start their tournament journey on Saturday against the Northern Region.

Group B Update

On the other side, the Greater Accra Region stands out at the top of Group B after an authoritative 4–0 victory over the Upper East Region. This performance has solidified their aspirations for the championship title. In second position, Ashanti Region also secured three points by coming from behind to defeat the Volta Region with a score of 3–1.

Both Volta and Upper East are still looking to gain their first points. The Central Region is prepared to take on Greater Accra in Matchday Two, scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025.
