Mohammed Kudus And Five Others To Miss Ghana’s Asia Tour

Ghana’s Black Stars will be without forward Mohammed Kudus and five others for their upcoming friendlies in Japan and South Korea.

Kudus remains sidelined after missing West Ham’s last two games, while Jordan Ayew, Alexander Djiku, Thomas Partey, Fatawu Issahaku, and Joseph Paintsil also won’t be available.

The reasons for the absences of the other players have not been officially confirmed.

Kudus will remain in London to focus on recovery rather than joining the team, ensuring he’s ready for West Ham’s Premier League match on November 23.

Coach Otto Addo plans to call up replacements to maintain squad balance and test new options ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The team will first face Japan on November 14 in Aichi before meeting South Korea on November 18, as part of their World Cup preparation schedule.

The matches are a key opportunity for Ghana to sharpen their squad and build cohesion ahead of next year’s tournament.

Meanwhile, the official draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage will take place on December 5 in Washington.
