Despite being behind Barcelona in the quest for the LaLiga championship, Predrag Mijatovic recommends that Real Madrid maintain a cautious approach regarding the upcoming transfer window.

He shared his thoughts during an appearance on El Larguero:

“Major clubs often view the January transfer window as an opportunity to plan for the future rather than focusing solely on immediate needs, as this month is not ideal for acquiring new players.”

Challenges of Winter Signings

Mijatovic elaborated on the difficulties faced during this transfer period:

“For starters, it’s unlikely that you’ll find a player who can make an immediate impact as soon as they join.”

Having a strong understanding of the Real Madrid management, Mijatovic emphasized the limited opportunities available in January.

“If a transfer occurs, it usually involves a young talent with significant potential or a replacement for an injured player. Most teams are reluctant to part with their star players during this time. Thus, the winter transfer window tends to be less beneficial,” he explained.
