Middlesbrough Snubs Wolves’ Bid for Manager Rob Edwards
Middlesbrough has reportedly dismissed an inquiry from Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding manager Rob Edwards, as the Championship club is determined to keep the respected coach.
Wolves in Search of New Leadership
After the firing of Vitor Pereira on November 2, Wolves are actively looking for a new manager. They have already been rejected by their former coach, Gary O’Neil.
The Premier League side is currently in a difficult position, sitting last in the table with only two points from their first ten matches.
Middlesbrough’s Commitment to Edwards
Middlesbrough has declined the request to interview Edwards, 42, as the club focuses on its push for promotion to the Premier League. They have made a strong start to the Championship season and currently hold third place with 26 points from 14 matches.
Edwards also has a personal history with Wolves. He played for the club and made 100 appearances between 2004 and 2008, but it remains unclear whether he is interested in taking a managerial role there.
