Brentford’s COO Heads to Manchester United

Transition Announcement

Brentford’s Chief Operating Officer, Ameesh Manek, is set to join Manchester United. Sources from BBC Sport confirm that Manek will take on the role of director of football operations at United. The news was communicated to employees at both organizations on Wednesday.

Responsibilities at Manchester United

Manek’s role will encompass a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Oversight of travel logistics
  • Security management
  • Supervision of training facilities
  • Staff management and infrastructure development

Additionally, he will be tasked with overseeing operations at the Carrington training complex.

Recent Departures and Arrivals

Notably, former Brentford coach Stephen Torpey made the move to Manchester United last month, assuming the position of academy director. Furthermore, during the summer transfer window, United managed to acquire striker Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford as well.

Manek will be replacing David Harrison, who left Manchester United earlier this year as part of the club’s cost-reduction efforts.
