Manchester United Rejects January Opportunity for Wilfred Ndidi

Manchester United Declines Opportunity to Sign Wilfred Ndidi

Ndidi’s Departure from Leicester City

Reports indicate that Manchester United has declined an opportunity to acquire Wilfred Ndidi, the former midfielder for Leicester City, during the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old player transitioned from Leicester City, where he made 303 appearances over eight years, to Turkish club Besiktas last summer.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Ndidi was presented as a potential addition to Manchester United’s midfield in January, but the club opted against pursuing this opportunity.

Romano discussed the situation on his “Here We Go” podcast, stating, “Regarding new signings, I can confirm that Wilfred Ndidi, previously with Leicester and currently at Besiktas, was offered to Manchester United.”

He further elaborated, “This was seen as a budget-friendly option that Ndidi was enthusiastic about, but United quickly decided not to move forward with it. They had the opportunity for a low-cost acquisition but chose not to take action.”
