Man Utd Draw Up Six-Man Midfield Shortlist Including Three England Internationals

Manchester United Targets New Midfield Talent

Midfield Overhaul in the Works

Manchester United has reportedly put together a shortlist of six candidates in their quest to revamp their midfield, featuring three players from the England national team, a Chelsea talent, and a familiar previous target.

Following a summer transfer window in which the club invested over £200 million in attacking players, the focus has now shifted, with manager Ruben Amorim aiming for a significant midfield transformation.

Shortlist Revealed

According to an exclusive from TalkSPORT, the Manchester club has identified potential targets, which include:

  • Adam Wharton (England)
  • Elliot Anderson (England)
  • Conor Gallagher (England)
  • Carlos Baleba (Brighton)
  • Andrey Santos (Chelsea)

It is reported that Wharton, Anderson, and Gallagher are among the England internationals on the radar. Meanwhile, Baleba has attracted interest due to his previous consideration by the club during the last summer transfer period, despite Brighton’s hefty £100 million asking price deterring any bids.

As for Santos, the Chelsea prospect is under observation, though a transfer appears unlikely given Chelsea’s current stance on player sales.
