Man City Set to Compete with Liverpool for Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi

Reports indicate that Manchester City has entered the competition alongside Liverpool to acquire Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Guehi, 25, nearly finalized a move to Liverpool on transfer deadline day; however, Crystal Palace withdrew from the deal after failing to secure a suitable replacement in time.

Contract and Future Plans

The England international has just a year remaining on his current contract at Selhurst Park, and a renewal does not appear imminent. According to the Mirror, Pep Guardiola’s squad is prepared to challenge Liverpool once Guehi’s contract expires at the end of the season.

Currently, Guehi prefers to remain with Palace for the remainder of the season and plans to evaluate his options when summer arrives. Notably, he has garnered significant interest from several European clubs, with both Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly showing interest in his services.
