Man Utd Skipper Fernandes Reveals Discussions with Al-Hilal

Man Utd captain Fernandes: I held talks with Al-Hilal

Fernandes Acknowledges Discussions with Al Hilal

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has revealed that he had talks with Al Hilal regarding a potential transfer.

Al Hilal’s Young Interest

The Saudi Arabian club had reportedly offered £100 million for the midfielder last summer, but Fernandes ultimately chose to remain with his current team.

Clarifying the Conversations

Fernandes shared, “I did have conversations with Al Hilal. It’s well-known and acknowledged. There were other clubs that expressed interest after Al Hilal, but my stance remained the same.”

He elaborated, “European clubs reached out, yet we never progressed to the stage of formal offers. While it’s flattering to be wanted, a club must put forth an official bid for me to consider leaving. Without that, my departure is not possible.”

Commitment to Manchester United

He added, “The most serious interest came from Saudi Arabia. At this moment, I felt no need to leave the club. I discussed my situation with the manager, which is why negotiations with European clubs didn’t advance further. My lack of enthusiasm for a transfer was apparent, leading them to conclude that pursuing me might be unproductive since I was likely to decline in the end.”

Fernandes concluded by emphasizing the support he has from the manager, who reassured him of his importance within the team’s future plans.
