Man Utd Set to Finalize Signing of Colombian Prodigy Orozco upon Turning 18

Man Utd agree to sign Colombian wonderkid Orozco as soon as he turns 18

Manchester United to Secure Colombian Youngster Cristian Orozco

Manchester United is set to complete the signing of Cristian Orozco, a talented midfielder from Colombia’s Under-17 team, once he reaches the age of 18.

Future Transfer Confirmed

It has been reported by journalist Ben Jacobs that Orozco’s official move to Old Trafford is scheduled for July 2026, when he reaches the eligible age.

In a tweet, it was noted that “Manchester United have finalized an agreement to acquire Colombia Under-17 international Cristian Orozco when he turns 18.” It was also highlighted that the young player served as the captain of the Colombian team that made it to the finals of the Under-17 South American Championships last spring.

Focus on Youth Development

This acquisition follows Manchester United’s earlier investment in young talent, including the purchase of Diego Leon from Paraguayan club Cerro Porteno for £3 million. The club is keen on strengthening its youth academy and future prospects.

The 17-year-old midfielder will join a promising group of young players at the club, including Sekou Kone from Mali, Ayden Heaven, and Chido Obi, all contributing to an exciting youth framework under the guidance of manager Ruben Amorim and football director Jason Wilcox.

Additionally, reports from Manchester World suggest that both Fortaleza and Rojo FC will receive financial benefits from this transfer arrangement, reinforcing the collaborative nature of international football dealings.
