Man Utd Actively Pursuing Semenyo with Plans to Activate £65M Release Clause

Manchester United Eyeing Antoine Semenyo with £65M Release Clause

Manchester United is poised to activate the £65 million release clause for Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

Semenyo, who netted a goal in the recent thrilling 4-4 match against Manchester United at Old Trafford, has garnered attention from multiple clubs since the beginning of the season.

The Ghanaian international has made a significant impact on the pitch, contributing seven goals and three assists across 15 matches for Bournemouth in the Premier League this season.

United Looks to Secure Semenyo

The 25-year-old midfielder, with a record of 29 goals in over 100 appearances for Bournemouth, is now being linked to Manchester United as the club aims to revamp its midfield lineup.

According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, Manchester United is gearing up to pursue Semenyo.

“Manchester United’s interest in Antoine Semenyo remains active, as previously reported last month.”

“However, they are not the only club interested; rivals including Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham are also in contention. Arsenal may consider a move only if they see departures, as they expect a quieter transfer window in January.”

“Semenyo is currently calm about his future and is waiting to see which clubs will either trigger or match his release clause, which is set to decrease by around £5 million next summer.”

“If his release clause is activated in January, it will be valued at £65 million for Bournemouth. The amount may be slightly reduced for interested buyers due to solidarity payments.”

Semenyo has found the back of the net in all three encounters Bournemouth has had with Manchester United since Ruben Amorim took over coaching duties. It is no surprise that Amorim is eager to retain the Bournemouth star as the January transfer window approaches, which is anticipated to be a busy period.
