Manchester City is actively observing the development of Bahia’s young talent, Dell.

The full name of the player is Wendeson Wanderley Santos de Melo, and at just 17 years old, he has drawn comparisons to City’s own Erling Haaland.

Importantly, Manchester City holds the right of first refusal on Dell, as Bahia is affiliated with the City Football Group.

Dell is currently under contract until 2027, and in a recent interview with ESPN, he expressed his delight at being associated with Haaland: “I’m thrilled to carry this nickname. Haaland is a role model for many.”

He continued, “He’s someone whose videos I enjoy watching, both when he scores and in general play. I feel my playing style resembles his.”
