Liverpool Players Frustrated by Isak’s Transfer Delays
Transfer Saga Comes to an End
Liverpool’s midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has expressed that the team’s players were feeling exasperated with the prolonged discussions surrounding Alexander Isak’s transfer from Newcastle United.
Isak ultimately completed his move to Liverpool during the closing stages of the summer transfer window for a fee of £125 million. The negotiations extended throughout the preseason, leading to frustration among the players.
Mac Allister’s Perspective
“In the beginning, it attracted a lot of attention, but as time went on, we became a bit weary because of how lengthy it was,” Mac Allister stated during an interview with TNT Sports.
He emphasized the significance of Isak, saying, “We all recognize the talent he possesses. He’s going to play a crucial role for us, and we’re thrilled to have him on the team.”
Furthermore, he remarked, “While the other club might not be pleased, that’s just how football operates. They invested a substantial amount, which I believe benefits both clubs.”
Mac Allister concluded by expressing how pleased the team is to have Isak onboard, noting, “It’s advantageous for him as it aligns with his aspirations, and we are excited to have him, especially given our past experiences playing against him.”
