Victory Against Juventus Marks a Milestone

Carlalberto Ludi, the sporting director of Como, emphasizes that the club is not allowing itself to become complacent despite a notable victory over Juventus this past weekend, which he considers one of the most significant wins since their promotion last year.

Aspirations for European Qualification

When discussing the potential for European qualification, Ludi shared his thoughts during an interview on Rai Radio 1:

“While it may seem like a distant dream for an ambitious owner, we are diligently focusing on gradual progress. Our aim is consistent daily improvement. If this leads us to Europe, we would be thrilled. However, if our efforts result in a safer position away from relegation compared to last season, we will still be pleased because it would indicate our growth in such a demanding league as Serie A.”

Future Considerations for Coach Cesc Fabregas

Ludi also addressed the relationship with coach Cesc Fabregas, indicating that they will reevaluate it at the conclusion of the season.

He stated:

“Our bond with Cesc is exceptional and built on deep mutual trust. We are working together every day, and we will make a definitive assessment in May or June, should another opportunity arise for him. Currently, he is very happy at Como, and I believe he is fully committed to our initiative. After that, we will see what develops.”
