Atlético Madrid Secures New Forward

After an intense competition to bring him on board, Atlético Madrid’s head coach Diego Simeone has successfully added a new attacking option to his squad.

The club disclosed the transfer details on their official website, stating: “Atlético Madrid and Atalanta have reached an agreement for the transfer of 28-year-old Nigerian international Ademola Lookman, who has already arrived in Madrid.”

Ademola Lookman began his professional journey at Charlton Athletic and has since represented six different teams. In addition to Charlton, his career includes stints with Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham, Leicester City, and Atalanta.

His most significant development occurred during his time in Bergamo, where he emerged as a formidable force. Over three and a half seasons in Serie A, Lookman netted 55 goals and provided 27 assists, solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s top strikers.
