Bixente Lizarazu Criticizes Kingsley Coman for Al-Nassr Transfer

Former France World Cup champion Bixente Lizarazu has expressed his disapproval of Kingsley Coman’s recent transfer to Al-Nassr. Coman made his exit from Bayern Munich to join the Saudi Pro League team last month.

Lizarazu’s Strong Opinions

In an interview with Telefoot, Lizarazu, who has a history with Bayern Munich, stated, “There is no argument that can convince me that moving to Saudi Arabia is a decision made for sports reasons.”

He further emphasized, “This league does not foster player development. Coman had opportunities to play in prestigious European leagues, such as in England. This choice does not elevate his career.”

Lizarazu also noted, “While (N’Golo) Kanté from Al-Ittihad has been recalled to the national team, there seems to be a form of sports decline with Coman’s decision, especially given his youth.”
