Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly close to securing a highly promising forward, Aleksa Damjanovic.

According to acclaimed transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the Bundesliga club has finalized terms with Red Star Belgrade for the young striker.

Romano indicates that the fee for the 17-year-old Serbian talent will be approximately €5 million. However, potential bonuses could elevate the total cost to as much as €8 million, and Red Star will include a sell-on clause in the agreement.

Competition from Bundesliga Rivals

Leverkusen successfully navigated competition for the U-19 international’s signature, overcoming interest from multiple Bundesliga teams. RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Hoffenheim were all vying for the young star, who has already participated in seven league matches with Red Star this season.
