Leeds United Manager Daniel Farke Discusses Transfer Developments
Leeds United’s head coach, Daniel Farke, has stated that his team has moved forward after their attempts to acquire Fulham’s Harry Wilson were halted last month.
Transfer Situation
Leeds and Fulham had reportedly reached an agreement for the Welsh midfielder. However, the transfer fell through when Fulham decided to block the deal after Chelsea declined to allow Tyrique George to join them.
Farke’s Remarks Ahead of Fulham Match
In preparation for the upcoming match against Fulham, Farke commented, “It’s safe to say we aren’t exactly celebrating. Yet, I won’t express any frustration regarding the transfer deadline. It’s my responsibility to adjust to the situation. Feeling sorry for ourselves doesn’t help; we must earn our place in the league.”
He added, “While we didn’t succeed in adding a new attacking player, it’s crucial we don’t see ourselves as victims. I’m not particularly upset about the narratives surrounding us. Let the analysts think what they want, it doesn’t bother me.”
Farke acknowledged the concerns regarding their forward lineup, stating, “They mention our existing attackers along with Rutter, Sinisterra, and Rodrigo in 2023. So, we might not be viewed as favorites to avoid relegation. However, we will remain grounded and aim to prove our critics wrong.”
