Le Bris Unveils Sunderlands Busy January Transfer Strategy

Sunderland’s Manager Eyes Busy January Transfer Window

Squad Adjustments on the Horizon

Sunderland’s coach, Regis Le Bris, has indicated that the club is gearing up for a dynamic January transfer window.

Le Bris confirmed that adjustments to the squad are being considered in both directions.

Focus on Team Dynamics

He stated, “In the background, alongside the other squad members, we are diligently exploring options for both incoming and outgoing players, as it will be crucial for our strategy moving forward.”

“The primary focus for me at this moment is analyzing the upcoming opponents. Alongside Flo (Florent Ghisolfi, the director of football) and his team, they are actively preparing to identify potential opportunities for us.”

Current Squad Status

“We put in a lot of effort last summer to integrate 14 new players, and at this juncture, we are satisfied with the squad’s overall quality,” Le Bris noted.

“We don’t need to make significant changes; we’re looking at bringing in a maximum of two or three new players, while the departures might be slightly more. It’s essential to create openings for those moving out.”

Assessing Team Performance

“Indeed, it’s vital because after half a season, we have a clearer picture of our strengths and weaknesses. It’s always advantageous to join a team that is in a positive trajectory rather than one that’s struggling or in a state of uncertainty.”
