Lallana Appointed as Southamptons U21 Manager
Southampton Appoints Adam Lallana as Permanent U21 Coach
Southampton has officially appointed Adam Lallana as the new head coach for their Under-21 team.
Organizational Changes at Southampton Academy
The club has recently implemented various structural changes within its academy setup.
In November, Tonda Eckert advanced to the position of head coach for the first team.
This transition allowed the former Liverpool and Brighton midfielder Lallana to temporarily take charge of the U21 squad.
Southampton has now confirmed that this temporary arrangement has been made permanent.
The club has announced that Lallana has signed a long-term contract and will continue to lead the U21 team.
“When I learned about the chance to work with the U21 squad and embrace a coaching role, I became very excited,” Lallana expressed on the club’s official website.
“It feels fulfilling to be at the club where I developed through the academy myself. I believe I have plenty to contribute and am eager to assist the young players in their growth. We’ve seen some players make their debut this season, which adds to the motivation of this role.”
