On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), paid a visit to the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu. This meeting aimed to explore potential areas for collaboration between the GFA and the Ministry, focusing on promoting both football and education in Ghana.

The discussion took place at the Ministry of Education’s offices in Accra, where President Simeon-Okraku expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the Minister. President Simeon-Okraku showcased various initiatives led by the GFA, such as the “Catch Them Young Refereeing Programme” and the “School Football Development Project.” These programs illustrate the GFA’s alignment of its development strategies with the national education system. He also reiterated the GFA’s willingness to partner with the Ministry on policies that promote physical education and improve football facilities in schools.

Hon.
