Mohamadou Kanté Extends Contract with West Ham United

West Ham United has secured a fresh agreement with midfielder Mohamadou Kanté.

New Contract Until 2031

This week, Kanté committed to the club with a contract running through to 2031.

Background on Kanté

The player originally joined West Ham in the summer of 2024 from Paris FC, before spending last season on loan, where he played a pivotal role in the French club’s promotion to Ligue 1.

Kanté Expresses Pride and Determination

“It fills me with pride,” he remarked following his contract extension. “I must continue to work diligently and strive for self-improvement. When your focus is on getting better every single day, that’s what occupies your thoughts. I’m very pleased and grateful to the Club for the trust they have in me.”

Kanté also shared insights into his evolving relationships within the team: “My rapport with my teammates is growing positively. Although communication can sometimes be a bit challenging, we find ways to connect. I’ve been taking English lessons, and even off the field, we manage to have conversations, which is wonderful.”
