Kano Pillars have suspended Technical Adviser Ogenyi Evans and Chief Coach Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro following a disappointing start to the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The decision came after a string of poor results that left fans frustrated.
The team has played eight matches, winning only two, drawing two, and losing four.
In the meantime, former captain and current assistant coach Gambo Muhammad will take charge of the squad.
He will work alongside Goalkeeper Coach Suleiman Shuaibu, with Garzali Muhammad (Kusa) from Junior Pillars joining the bench in a temporary role.
The club’s management said the move is part of efforts to revive the team’s form and restore confidence in the dressing room.
In a statement, Kano Pillars urged supporters to stay patient and back the players during the transition.
“We remain committed to getting Kano Pillars back to winning ways,” the club’s Media Department said.
The Sai Masu Gida will look to turn their season around quickly as pressure mounts in the NPFL campaign.
