Juventus vs Benevento Prediction
Pippo Inzaghi has already taken points off Andrea Pirlo’s Juventus this season, but the Bianconeri are now entirely focused on Serie A.
Cristiano Ronaldo should work his magic against the Stregoni defense, with Juve holding firm at the back. We expect a comfortable win for Juventus.
Prediction: Juventus 2-0 Benevento
Juventus vs Benevento build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
The Old Lady have been crowned Italian champions in each of the last nine seasons but this time around, they’re seeing their supremacy seriously challenged. Though they’ve lost just three times, Andrea Pirlo’s men have drawn seven games this season, no team in the top seven has drawn more and this is ultimately why they have so much ground to make up on Inter. One of those draws came against this weekend’s opponents back in November and Juventus cannot afford a repeat of that result of they’re to catch their title rivals and make it 10 in a row.
Though that draw was an impressive result for Benevento, it’s been one of very few for Filippo Inzaghi’s men, who sit 16th in the table and remain in the relegation dog-fight. Benevento have picked up just six wins from 27 games so far this season, while they haven’t tasted victory in any of their last 11 Serie A outings. Only Parma (26) have scored fewer than Benevento’s 27 goals this season and that’s hardly a good omen ahead of facing Juventus, who have conceded the fewest goals of any team in Serie A this season (22).
