BVB’s head coach Niko Kovac announced during his pre-match press briefing on Friday that Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, who has played in both of Dortmund 2026’s matches since the resumption of the season, will not be participating in the upcoming game against St. Pauli. With the departure of Pascal Groß, another contender for Bellingham’s midfield position, earlier this month, Bellingham emerges as the prime choice to play alongside former England youth international Felix Nmecha.
