The young defender has already reached an agreement on personal terms with Chelsea.

According to talkSPORT, Jacquet has conveyed to Rennes his wish to complete the move during the ongoing January transfer window.

Chelsea is currently negotiating with Rennes regarding a fee for the 20-year-old, but they are not satisfied with the asking price of €65 million.

Rennes is aiming to receive at least the same club record fee of €65 million that they earned from the sale of Jeremy Doku to Manchester City two years ago.

The club would also prefer to postpone Jacquet’s transfer until June as they focus on securing a Champions League spot this season.
