Inter Milan Eyeing Bundesliga Stars for Summer Reinforcements
Inter Milan, a powerhouse in Serie A, is reportedly planning to strengthen their squad by targeting several renowned players from the Bundesliga this summer.
Focus on Bayern Munich
According to reports from L’Interista, the current Serie A leaders have identified two standout players from Bayern Munich as prime targets.
Pursuit of Leon Goretzka
Leon Goretzka has emerged as the primary midfield acquisition for Inter Milan this upcoming transfer window.
The 31-year-old midfielder is set to part ways with Bayern after an eight-year tenure, with uncertainties surrounding a contract extension.
Consequently, club executive Beppe Marotta views the former Schalke player as an ideal signing that offers value for money.
However, securing Goretzka’s signature may prove challenging, as competitors such as Arsenal, AC Milan, and Napoli are also showing interest.
Interest in Julian Brandt
Given the potential difficulties in acquiring Goretzka, Inter is also considering Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt.
Similar to Goretzka, Brandt’s contract at Signal Iduna Park is set to expire in June, with no indications of a renewal being in the works.
Since his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019, Brandt has established himself as one of the top advanced playmakers in the Bundesliga. Acquiring him would be a significant achievement for Inter Milan.
Defensive Reinforcements
Lastly, Kim Min-jae from Bayern Munich is also on Marotta’s radar as Inter prepares to revamp their defense at the conclusion of the season.
