Smit Addresses Potential Transfer

Currently, 19-year-old Smit has shared his thoughts on the possibility of a summer transfer to Spain.

“It’s a possibility, but I don’t think it will happen. I understand why people are asking, especially with the high figures involved. I agree, those amounts are significant. We’ll see how things progress,” Smit conveyed to Ziggo Sport.

Simultaneously, he emphasized what will be most crucial in making his next career move.

“Primarily, I want to ensure I get ample playing time, as that is my top priority. I’m uncertain about what my next step will be, but once I’ve made that decision, I’ll let everyone know,” he added.

Smit is currently under contract with AZ until 2029.
