Dele Alli, the 29-year-old midfielder, has made his way back to Tottenham Hotspur to conduct individual training sessions. The club has granted him access to their facilities as he works on regaining his fitness and seeks a new team.

Alli has taken to social media, sharing videos of his training sessions at Tottenham’s academy grounds. His absence from a club began in September 2025, following the termination of his contract with Italian Serie A side Como.

In February, Dele made a special appearance at the north London derby against Arsenal, rekindling his connection with the club where he became a fan favorite.

Alli’s Spurs Legacy

During his seven-year tenure at Spurs, Alli made 269 outings, netting 67 goals. The bulk of his professional playing time, totaling 19,150 minutes, came during his days at Tottenham, with prior experience at MK Dons accounting for 6,514 minutes.

Since leaving Tottenham in 2022, Alli has faced challenges with both fitness and form that hampered his efforts to make a mark at Everton and Besiktas. In his time at Everton, he played just 13 matches from 2022 to 2024, accumulating a mere 369 minutes on the pitch. While on loan at Besiktas, Alli managed to score three goals in 15 appearances, totaling 830 minutes of play between 2022 and 2023.

His brief stint with Como saw him play only once, where he was introduced as a substitute against AC Milan but was sent off shortly after for a challenge on Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Could He Return to Tottenham?

Dele Alli is currently a free agent, which allows him to sign with teams even outside of the typical transfer windows. While a return to Tottenham seems improbable, the situation could change based on the appointment of a permanent manager come summer.

Tottenham has clarified that Alli is training on his own and has not referenced any sort of trial.
