Togo star Ihlas Bebou set for Hoffenheim winter departure

Togo forward Ihlas Bebou looks set to leave Hoffenheim before the January transfer window opens, as the German club prepares for changes in its attacking department.

Bebou, 31, still has a contract running until 2026, but he appears ready to end his spell with Hoffenheim after joining the club in 2019.

His former side, Fortuna Düsseldorf, now pushes strongly to bring him back and offer him a fresh start.

The Togolese attacker returned recently from a long knee injury, yet he continues to struggle for minutes.

He has played only 70 minutes since coming back, and he cannot break into Hoffenheim’s starting lineup.

Reports in Germany indicate Hoffenheim no longer counts on him for the long term, as he has barely featured in league matches over the past two seasons.

Despite this difficult spell, Bebou still owns an impressive Bundesliga record, with 45 goals and 25 assists across 195 matches.

Fortuna Düsseldorf see his experience as a major boost as they chase promotion to the Bundesliga.

A loan deal during the winter window could help him regain rhythm, rebuild confidence, and shape his next career chapter with more clarity.
