Senegal’s Idrissa Gueye sees Premier League red-card appeal rejected

Everton enters its next three Premier League matches without Idrissa Gueye after the club failed to overturn his red card against Manchester United.

The club filed the appeal right after Monday’s 1–0 win at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but the FA appeals committee refused to change the decision.

David Moyes addressed the issue during his Friday press conference.

“We appealed, but they rejected it. They gave us no reason for the rejection,” he said.

Moyes also spoke about the video that showed Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane settling their disagreement with a light boxing session.

“It’s over. We moved on quickly. The players sorted it in the dressing room,” he said.

Gueye’s suspension forces Everton to adjust the midfield for three important league games.

The Senegalese midfielder drives the team’s rhythm, and his absence increases pressure on a squad that needs consistency during a difficult stretch.
