Hull Manager Jakirovic Acknowledges Probable Exit of Williams
Hull City Manager Discusses Potential Departure of Brandon Williams
Hull City manager Sergej Jakirovic has acknowledged that they may part ways with Brandon Williams during the January transfer window.
Updates on Williams’ Condition
The former defenders of Manchester United and Norwich City joined the Tigers in August. Recently, Jakirovic shared updates on Williams’ fitness with listeners of BBC Radio Humberside.
He stated, “He experienced some calf discomfort yesterday and will undergo an MRI scan.”
Jakirovic also mentioned, “We are awaiting further information, and we have developed a six-week plan to ensure he regains match fitness.”
Future Decisions Regarding Williams
“He has participated in Under-21 matches, and the club and I will come together to determine his future in January,” Jakirovic continued.
“Whether he remains with us to compete for a spot or if he pursues opportunities elsewhere is yet to be decided. This is a consideration for all teams.”
While acknowledging that Williams showed promise during academy matches, Jakirovic reflected, “I am uncertain if his performance has been adequate for the demands of the Championship.”
“This is a decision that I will need to make regarding his future,” he concluded.
