Hennes Behrens Joins Heidenheim on Loan

Hennes Behrens has successfully secured a loan transfer to Heidenheim from another Bundesliga club, Hoffenheim. The 20-year-old defender has only participated in matches with Hoffenheim’s second squad this season, which is competing in the 3. Liga.

Injury Setback

The left-back from Frankfurt has recently returned from a three-month absence due to a muscle injury. Notably, Heidenheim will not have a purchase option included in the loan agreement once the season concludes. Frank Schmidt’s team has relied solely on Jonas Föhrenbach in the left-back position during the first half of the season, as new recruit Leart Paçarada has been sidelined with an ACL injury.

Limited Top-Tier Experience

Behrens has made just one appearance in the Bundesliga, which occurred during Hoffenheim’s 3-1 loss to Leverkusen in February 2025. Heidenheim is set to face Köln when the Bundesliga action resumes next weekend.
