In an interview with AS, Guti expressed his admiration for Yamal, saying, “I view him as an exceptional player with the potential to win the Ballon d’Or. However, it’s important to recognize that we are discussing three players who are among the greatest in history.”

He went on to highlight the remarkable achievements of Maradona, Messi, and Ronaldo:

• Messi and Ronaldo both dominated the scoring charts over a decade, each netting 50 goals per season, a feat that is incredibly challenging for anyone to replicate.

“I believe Kylian Mbappé is closer to achieving that level than Lamine,” Guti added, suggesting that while Yamal has immense potential, it’s a tall order to match the milestones set by these football legends.

Guti also defended Yamal’s lifestyle choices, stating that he should be free to enjoy his youth.
