Crystal Palace Defender Marc Guehi on Bayern Munich’s Radar
Meetings Held with Player’s Representatives
Agents representing Marc Guehi, the Crystal Palace defender, have engaged in discussions with officials from Bayern Munich this week. With Guehi’s contract expiring at the conclusion of the current season, he is poised to depart as a free agent next summer, as confirmed by Palace’s manager Oliver Glasner.
Major Clubs Competing for Guehi
Liverpool, which had a transfer agreement blocked by Crystal Palace on the final day of the transfer window, along with both Real Madrid and Barcelona, are also keen on securing Guehi’s services.
Recent reports from Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland indicate that Bayern Munich has expressed strong interest in the defender, having conducted meetings with Guehi’s representatives this week.
Plettenberg reports, “In the past few days, discussions took place in Munich involving Max Eberl and Gordon Stipic, the primary agent for Marc Guehi.”
Bayern’s Intentions and Competition
“FC Bayern is fully engaged in the pursuit, as Guéhi is anticipated to leave Crystal Palace on a free transfer. Other competitors in the race include Real Madrid and Liverpool.” Furthermore, he added: “Currently, Guéhi ranks among Max Eberl’s preferred choices alongside Nico Schlotterbeck, particularly if Dayot Upamecano opts against extending his contract or if Min-jae Kim is transferred.”
