Pep Guardiola Affirms His Intentions

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has stated that he has no intention of leaving his role at the club. Having been in charge for nine years, last season marked the first time the team finished without securing any trophies.

Contract Extension and Future Aspirations

In November of last year, Guardiola extended his contract with City until 2027. He expressed his commitment by saying, “I’ve said many times I don’t know what will happen. Results dictate the positions, and I need to focus on having a successful season.”

Commitment to the Club

Guardiola emphasized, “I won’t remain in the role if I believe that the club requires a change. However, at this moment, my desire to continue is stronger than ever, especially after the challenges of the last season.”

Reflecting on his journey, he remarked, “When I first joined and signed for three years, I never imagined I would be here a decade later. I take great pride in that achievement, and I am eager to support the team and the club continuously.”
